Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are finding some time to spend with loved ones today.
Here are some things I’m thankful for:
- a healthy husband and daughters. Prioritizing our health and happiness has been the best thing we’ve done. We haven’t always gotten it right, but we continue to strive to prioritize our health and happiness. Staying active and exploring the world continue to be so so important to us. And I am grateful for finding a workout I love.
- living in Park City. This connects to my first point, but we continue to love the outdoor activities the Park City offers.
- therapy! Over the last year, I have worked with a therapist using EMDR therapy for birth trauma, a parenting therapist, and a personal therapist. This little team of therapists, along with my gynecologist, have helped me immensely in the past year and I look forward to continuing to move forward.
- a wonderful career in mathematics education and teaching. I am so thankful for the education and support I received at UCSB, the mentorship at the Santa Barbara schools, and everything I’ve learned from my colleagues, staff, students, and families at each of the schools I’ve worked at. I am so happy to have the opportunity to volunteer in the local schools to share and learn.
- and of course I am so thankful to be celebrating Thanksgiving with family and good food.
Looking forward to another year of thankfulness and gratitude.
