As residents of a popular ski town for almost two years now, I think we have mastered getting to the mountain and on the slopes quickly. Follow these steps to make the most of your trip:
Travel with your winter and ski gear
Purchase and pack of all your and your kids’ ski gear. Get all of the gear in your hometown or sent to your home so you have plenty of time to try it on and get new items if you need. This does mean that you will need to check some baggage, but I think it’s well worth it. Having the appropriate winter gear for each person in the family is essential to a successful trip.
Purchase passes, day of tickets, and lessons well in advance.
Buy your passes, day-of tickets, and ski lessons as soon as you book your hotel and airfare. It is difficult buying these items if there may be some uncertainty around whether you actually get there (illness, weather, etc), but you don’t want to be stuck without any of these thing.
